Hello everyone! Welcome to August – the end of our summer semester and the beginning of our fall semester here at NSMA! Summer lessons end August 17th and our Fall Semester begins August 18th! I am currently finalizing my fall schedule, so be on the lookout for an email to let you know you/your student’s fall lesson day/time. Below are a few reminders:
New Students:Â If you are a potential new student and are interested in lessons, my schedule for the fall is currently full and I have a wait list started. Please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information on NSMA and how to sign up on the wait list for lessons.
Summer Business Hours: Saturdays 12:00-5:00pm, Sundays 12:00-7:00pm, and Mondays 11:30am-7:00pm. I will hold lessons, have meetings, answer emails and phone calls during this time. Please do not come up to the house if it is not during posted business hours. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Fall Handout: With the start of the fall semester, you will be receiving a fall handout with more updates and reminders. Please make sure you read through that as we will have some big changes happening this year! As soon as it is finalized, I will also put it under the Documents tab so you can download it from there as well.
House Construction: We will be tearing down and replacing our outside entryway steps this month. I hope to have construction finished before Aug. 18, but we all know how construction projects go! If you come for your lesson and the entryway steps are unusable, please go through the garage (signs will be posted). Please be careful as it will be a construction zone!!
Tuition Payment Reminder:Â Tuition Payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail, or you can drop it off anytime in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox. Please do not come up to the house to drop off payment if it is not during your student's lesson time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hello everyone! It seems as though summer has just begun, and yet, here we are already in July! And here at NSMA that means registration for fall lessons! Yes, I know it seems early, but Pre-Registration for Fall 2014 lessons for all 2014 Spring semester students is now open. Here are a few reminders of how registration works:
Fall 2014 Pre-Registration: All students enrolled in lessons for the 2014 Spring Semester are eligible for Pre-Registration for Fall 2014 lessons. All students enrolled in the 2014 Spring Semester who Pre-Registrer in July will be guaranteed a spot in my fall schedule (barring scheduling issues). Pre-Registration is July 1 – 31.
New Summer 2014 Students: Incoming students enrolled in Summer 2014 lessons will be able to register for lessons August 1 on a space available basis.

Hello everyone! We have been so lucky with the weather this spring! It’s tough to be inside on days like these. But we only have two more weeks of the spring semester, so we’ve got to keep pushing forward! Our spring recitals are fast approaching – I’m so proud of the work all of my students have done and can’t wait to see everyone perform. Below are some final spring updates as well as summer updates and reminders.
Spring Recitals: Our spring recitals will be Sunday May 18 at 2:00pm and 4:30pm at the Egan Lecture Hall at UAS. If you’re unsure of your student’s recital time, please contact me ASAP! Family and friends are welcome to attend both recitals and receptions after the performances. Please contact me with any questions about the recitals.
Spring 2014 Semester: Our last day of our spring semester will be Wednesday May 14. There will be no lessons Thursday May 15 – Saturday May 31.
Summer 2014 Semester: The 2014 summer semester begins Sunday June 1. Lessons will be held on Sundays and Mondays 11:30am-7:00pm.

Hello everyone and welcome to spring! It’s been beautiful lately, but I do wish it would warm up a bit. April brings us seven weeks away from our annual Spring Recitals in May and the end of the spring semester. Below are important dates and information regarding the Spring Recitals, as well as summer and fall lessons (students will also be receiving handouts about all of this in lessons this week).
Spring Recitals: Our annual Spring Recitals will be on Sunday May 18th at 2:00pm and 4:30pm, once again held in the Egan Lecture Hall at UAS. Registration for the recitals is now open and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact me as soon as possible to ensure that you are able to get the recital time that you want!
End of Spring Semester: The last day of spring lessons will be Wednesday May 14th, prior to our Sunday May 18th recitals. There will be no lessons Saturday May 17th.
Summer Semester: Registration is now open for Summer 2014 lessons. I will start off offering Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue 12:00-7:00pm lessons, but due to lower enrollment will not be teaching all of those days. My exact schedule will depend on how many students sign up for summer lessons, so please bear with me as I figure that out. Please fill out the Summer/Fall 2014 lessons sign up form to register.
Fall Semester: Registration for current students for Fall 2014 will be open July 1st . All current students, regardless of whether they take summer lesson or not, will be given priority registration. Priority registration ends July 31st. Please fill out the Summer/Fall 2014 lessons sign up form to indicate if you are interested in taking lessons in the fall. Registration packets will be handed out in lessons starting July 1st to students taking summer lessons and sent via email on July 1st to those who are not taking lessons during the summer.
Reminder:Â We have lessons on ALL Monday holidays!
