Hello everyone – Happy New Year!! I’m thrilled to start NSMA’s second decade of music with the ‘new roaring twenties,’ nothing could be better! I’m excited about starting our 2020 Spring Semester soon, here are some important reminders for this month as well as the entire Spring Semester (a printed copy of this information will be handed out in lessons the first week of January as well as emailed to all clients).

Winter Break: We will have NO LESSONS Friday December 20 through Saturday January 4. Lessons will resume with the same schedule as the fall on Sunday January 5. If you/your student will need a new lesson day/time for the Spring Semester, please contact me ASAP to discuss scheduling. If you will miss any lessons that do not fall under the Winter Break dates, the normal cancelation policy will still apply.

2020 Spring Semester: January 5 – May 16. We will have the same schedule that we currently have for lessons. If you/your student will not be able to continue in the same lesson day/time slot in the spring, please let me know ASAP and I will do my best to accommodate any lesson time changes, but please note that I cannot guarantee those changes.

March Recital: Our next recital is our Students’ Choice recital, which will be Musical Theater themed, on Sunday March 14that 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. Recital registration paperwork will be handed out the first week of February.

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on all one day holidays! That includes Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday 1/20, President’s Day Monday 2/17, Easter Sunday 4/12 and Mother’s Day Sunday 5/10. Please let me know if you/your student will not be attending lessons that day, the regular cancelation policy will still apply.

March Spring Break: I will be offering optional lessons for the Juneau School District Spring Break Sunday March 22 through Sunday March 29. More information will be given out the first week of February.

May Recital: Our final recital of the 2019/20 school year is our annual Spring Recital on Saturday 05/16 at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. Recital registration information will be handed out the first week of April.

Online Calendar: If you’re ever unsure of recital dates or holidays that we may/may not have lessons, I do have an online calendar with all of the dates listed for the 2019/20 school year. And of course, you can always email me with any questions you have!

Missed/Canceled Lessons: Please let me know in advance (when possible) if you/your student will be missing lessons. I will do my best to get in makeup lessons when the scheduling permits. Please remember – no shows (missing a lesson without prior notification) will not be given a makeup lesson.

Business Hours: Sun 12:00-7:30pm, Mon 1:00-7:30pm, Tue 12:15-7:30pm, Wed 2:00-7:30pm, Thur 2:30-7:30pm, closed Fri/Sat. Please do not come up to the studio if it is not your student’s lesson time or regular business hours, thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10thof the month. If tuition is received after the 10thof the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox post. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
