Children

I love teaching kids of all ages! We work on balancing learning the instrument with the fun of making music.

Piano – ages 6 and up, beginner through intermediate levels.

Voice – ages 9 and up, all levels of experience.

Adults

Taking music lessons may be intimidating for adults!

I create a fun and low-stress environment for students to learn how to play the piano and sing or further existing piano and vocal skills.

I offer lessons to adults of all ages with varying levels of experience.

Hello everyone! We are now finishing up our 2022 Summer Semester here at NSMA and mid-month we will be starting our 2022 Fall Semester. It has been nice having a lighter schedule over the summer, but I’m excited to see everyone back for lessons this fall. I am also thrilled to say that we will be 100% in-person for the first time since March 2020! Here are some important dates and reminders for this month and looking ahead to this fall.

2022 Summer Semester: runs through Tuesday August 9th. The 2022 Fall Semester begins Sunday August 14th and runs through Thursday December 22nd.

Fall Update Letter: I will be emailing a Fall Update Letter to all students/parents/guardians when the fall semester begins. Please read through that and mark important dates!

Covid-19 Travel Update: Families traveling for vacations are not required to do an online lesson upon returning from trips but may request one if they wish. Please let me know all of your travel plans ASAP and we can easily do an online lesson after returning to town.

MASKS: CBJ now has us in the low risk category, however – ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS AND INSTRUMENT, MUST WEAR A MASK DURING LESSONS. I will be staying on top of the city regulations and will keep everyone updated with any changes.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition payments are due at the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off physical payments with your student at lesson, send in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the studio entrance. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

New Students: We have a few openings left for the 2022 Fall Semester! Please contact us at megan.e.felts@gmail.com or (907) 500-7455 for more information.

Music Around Town:

The Juneau Symphony will be hosting a Summer Strings Camp for children 2nd-6th grade August 1-5, please visit their website for more information, www.juneausymphony.org.

The JAHC Community Calendar has plenty more opportunities for in-person as well as virtual fun!!
