April News

Hello everyone! I am very sorry that we had to cancel our Broadway Hits Recital last month due to COVID-19. We are also now completely online and no longer doing in person lessons in the studio. I want to take a moment to thank all of my clients for being understanding, flexible and supportive as we navigate this pandemic together. Below are some important dates and reminders for the remainder of the 2020 Spring Semester.

APRIL 10th UPDATE: The Spring 2020 Semester lessons will be continuing ONLINE through May 31. I will be re-evaluating in-person/online lessons policies and will update everyone on the status of June lessons by May 20th at the latest. We do have openings for new students for online lessons in April and May, please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information.

Spring Recital UPDATED: We will not be having our normal Spring Recital on May 16th. Instead, I am planning a virtual recital on YouTube – I will be setting up a private YouTube channel for students to be able to upload videos of their March and May recital pieces. I will update everyone when I have more information. Please contact me with any questions.

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on all one-day holidays. That includes Easter Sunday 4/12 and Mother’s Day Sunday 5/10 (if we are back to in person lessons, if we are still online no lessons will be held on those dates any way due to our new weekly schedule). Please let me know if you/your student will not be attending lessons that day, the regular cancelation policy will still apply.

Business Hours: Online only: Thursdays 12:00-7:30pm, Fridays 12:00-7:30pm, Saturdays 12:00-7:30pm. Closed for all in person lessons and other times.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Please note: When possible, please use the online bill pay option link on your emailed invoice. I would like to cut down trips to the bank to deposit checks, so I would greatly appreciate that for the time being. Tuition payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10thof the month. If tuition is received after the 10thof the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox post. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Summer Lessons: Last month I sent out information regarding the 2020 Summer Semester and summer lessons in the last few in person lessons. As I don’t know whether summer lessons will be held online or in person or a combination, I will be putting the official summer registration on hold for now. However, I will absolutely be doing lessons throughout the summer for those who wish to continue. I again thank you for your patience and understanding as we have to take things one day/week at a time right now.

New Students: We do have some openings for online lessons for new students for the 2020 Spring Semester! Please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com or (907) 500-7455 for more information. Please note – once fully booked, I will start a wait list for new students. We are also able to get in new students during the 2020 Summer Semester.
