November News

Hello everyone and welcome to November here at NSMA! Congratulations to all of the students who performed in our Halloween Recital on October 28th, everyone did a great job!! Below are some important reminders for this month as well as looking ahead to December and the holidays!!

Thanksgiving: We DO NOT have lessons on Thursday November 23. We DO have lessons every other day that week. Please contact me asap if you/your student will not be attending lessons any other day that week, the normal cancelation policy will still apply.

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on almost every 1-day holiday and all school inservice and parent/teacher conference days! We DO have lessons on November 8 & 9. Please contact me asap if you/your student will not be attending lessons that day, the normal cancelation policy will still apply.

Winter Holiday Recital: Our next recital will be our annual Winter Holiday Recital on Saturday December 16 3:00-5:00pm at the UAS Egan Library. I will be sending out an email with more details regarding the recital, all students are encouraged to participate and/or come and watch as an audience member!!

MASKS: Masks are now optional! As long as the student is healthy and free of symptoms, masks are optional. We ask that students who are sick with more than minor symptoms stay home (fever, bad cough, throwing up, etc.), students with minor symptoms of a cough or runny nose can attend lessons, but we do ask that they wear a mask while symptomatic.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition payments are due at the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off physical payments with your student at lesson, send in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the studio entrance. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Theater at Latitude 58 and Floyd Dryden Middle school will be performing Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical “Cinderella” November 17-19 at Thunder Mountain High School. I am proud to be vocal directing this production as well as playing piano in the pit orchestra, and we have a number of students performing in it as well! Theatre in the Rough will be performing the musical “Cabaret” November 23-December 10. Tickets and more information are available on their website, www.theatreintherough.org.

Hello everyone! It’s a blustery fall here at NSMA and we’re already in the thick of the 2023 Fall Semester. We’ve got a lot on the horizon, so please read these updates and reminders carefully and make sure all dates are on your calendars!

Halloween Recital: The first recital of the 2023/24 school year is our annual Halloween Recital! The recital will be held on Saturday 10/28 3:00-5:00pm at the UAS Egan Library. Hello everyone! Welcome back to fall lessons here at NSMA. We’re a few weeks into our 2023 Fall Semester and I’m enjoying seeing everyone back and meeting our new students. Below are some important reminders for this month as well as looking ahead to the rest of the fall.

Hello everyone and welcome to August! Here at NSMA that means we are finishing up the 2023 Fall Semester and will be starting our 2023 Fall Semester mid-month. Below are some very important reminders and dates for this month!

2023 Fall Semester: Registration for continuing students is now closed and I am accepting new students for the 2023 Fall Semester. Continuing students can expect confirmation emails around Aug. 1st with their lesson day/time for the fall semester. FALL SEMESTER BEGINS SUNDAY AUGUST 13TH!!!

Online Lessons Reminder: I am officially discontinuing all online lessons! I am happy to be back to 100% in-person lessons and feel that music making and learning are best done in-person!

Hello everyone! We’re nearing the half-way point of summer here at NSMA – it is going by way too fast!! Below are some very important reminders for this month, including 2023 Fall Registration!

2023 Summer Semester: The Summer Semester begins Monday June 5th and the Fall Semester begins Sunday August 13th.

Summer Holidays: There ARE lessons on ALL Sunday and Monday holidays. We DO NOT have lessons on Tuesday July 4th. Other than that, please do not assume we have any one-day holidays off from lessons – if you are unsure, please contact me as soon as possible. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
