Hello everyone! It is so good to be back to lessons after being off for my three months of maternity leave and it is so nice to see everyone!! I am looking forward to a fun spring this year with all of you. Here are a few updates and reminders as we get back into the swing of things:
Spring Break: Lessons will be optional during Spring Break, March 15-23. If you do not want lessons during Spring Break, you MUST contact me by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21st to ensure that you will not be charged for those canceled lessons (so I can do invoicing for March correctly). Otherwise you will be charged for those lessons as normal (per the Studio Policies agreement).Â
Spring Recitals:Â We will be having our annual Spring Recitals on Sunday May 18th 2:00 and 4:30pm. Please mark this date on your calendars!!!
Business Hours:Â Business hours starting are Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue 12:00-7:00pm and Wed 12:00-6:00pm. NSMA is closed all other days and times.
Dropping off checks:Â If you are dropping off a check and it is not you/your student's lesson time, please use the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox. Please do not come up to the house, ring the doorbell or enter the house if it is not during posted business hours.
Late Fee:Â Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month. There is a grace period until the 10th of each month. If tuition is not received by the 10th of each month, there is a $10.00 late fee. I will be enforcing this late fee from now on. Please also remember that your total is at the bottom of the invoice, where the tax is added on.
Monday Holidays:Â We DO have lessons on all Monday holidays.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! 2013 was a fantastic year for NSMA and our students, and for my own family with the birth of my son, Jackson, on Nov. 4th. I am so excited to see what 2014 has in store for us all!! Here are a few updates and reminders:
Maternity Leave: I am still on maternity leave – I will be back to work SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1st. We will be on the same lessons schedule as the fall. If you have any questions about when I return back to lessons or would like to inquire about switching your lesson day/time, please contact me ASAP!
Invoicing: I will be emailing each of my students individually over the next two weeks with a reminder on your start date in February as well as an emailed copy of February’s invoice. Most of you will have a credit on your account for the lessons I missed at the end of October, please let me know if you have any questions about that.
Business Hours: NSMA is closed until February 1st. If you need books or other materials, you must call or email me and see if you can set up a time to come by to pick up what you need. Otherwise, please do not come to the studio without making an appointment with me. Business hours starting February 1st will be Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue 12:00-7:00pm.

Hello everyone! Congratulations to all the students who performed in our 3rd annual Halloween Recitals – you all did a great job and I’m so proud of you for the hard work and fabulous performances that you all turned in!
We are officially on our maternity leave break here at NSMA, I will miss seeing you all for the next three months! I will be returning to lessons Saturday, February 1st. For those students who are interested in continuing lessons over my maternity leave, if you haven’t already done so, please contact me ASAP on how to get signed up with our substitute teacher, Janis Capelle.

February Lessons: I will be sending out reminders for February lessons in early January. At that time you will be asked to confirm that you/your student will be continuing with lessons in February and you will have the same lesson day/time that you had this fall. If we need to do any lesson time shifting, please let me know at that time so I can see what I can do. If you decide to not continue with lessons, please email me as soon as possible any time during my maternity leave as I do have a long wait list of people who want to get in for lessons.

Hello everyone! I can’t believe how fast this fall is going as it’s October already and we’re getting closer to the end of lessons for this year due to my maternity leave! We have our Halloween Recitals coming up this next weekend, everyone who is performing should know which recital they are in at this point.
Reminders about Recitals: If you are performing, please be there NO LATER than 15 minutes prior to your recital time (i.e.: 2:00pm recital time means be there no later than 1:45pm). This ensures that we will be able to start the recitals promptly and on time. If you are not performing in a recital, please feel free to come and watch one or both of them! The recitals will be held at UAS in the Egan Lecture Hall, room 112, Sunday Oct. 6th at 2:00pm and 4:30pm. We will have a reception after each recital to celebrate our students’ successful performances!
Maternity leave:Â I will be on maternity leave Oct. 30-Jan. 31. I will be resuming lessons Feb. 1 with the same schedule as this fall. If I need to start my maternity leave for medical reasons sooner than Oct. 30, I will let you know as soon as is possible and go over the next steps at that time.
Substitute Teacher Over Maternity Leave: I am happy to announce that NSMA will be having Janis Capelle, an incredible vocal and piano instructor and performer, coming up from Texas to cover lessons over my maternity leave Nov.-Jan. If you are a current NSMA student and want to continue with lessons with Jan over my maternity leave, please email or call me to get more information. If you are currently on the NSMA wait list or are a potential new student, please also feel free to email or call me to get information on how to get signed up for lessons with Jan.

Hello everyone! We’re now into the swing of fall lessons, it has been so nice seeing everyone back! Below are a few reminders about fall lessons, please let me know if you have any questions about these reminders.
Halloween Recitals: Our Halloween Recitals will be on Sunday October 6th. We will be having two recitals again this year, the times will be 2:00pm and 4:30pm. Recital times are on a first come, first serve basis, so please contact me ASAP to sign you/your student up for the time you would like.
