Hello everyone! We’re nearing the middle of the 2018 Summer Semester and going strong! Below are a few important updates and reminders for this month.

Construction: We have now started construction on our new studio facility!! All students, parents and guardians – please be very careful when arriving to and leaving from lessons. No small children should be walking up/down the driveway without an adult present with them at all times. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the construction process.

2018 Fall Registration for Continuing Students: As of July 1st, registration is OPEN for the 2018 Fall Semester for current and continuing students. All continuing students will receive an email with registration documents. Registration for current and continuing students is July 1 – 31. All continuing students MUST register by July 31 to be guaranteed a spot in the schedule.

2018 Fall Registration for New Students: I will be accepting new students for the 2018 Fall Semester. Please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com or (907) 500-7455 for more information.

New Students for the 2018 Summer Semester: I will have openings for new students for the 2018 Summer Semester, please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information on registering for lessons! I also have a short wait list started for the Fall Semester for those interested in lessons but are unable to make the times I have available.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition Payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment downstairs in the studio with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail or you can drop it off anytime in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox. Please do not come up to the house to drop off payment if it is not during your student’s lesson time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hello everyone and welcome to our 2018 Summer Semester here at NSMA! I’m looking forward to meeting new students as well as seeing familiar faces for those students continuing through the summer. Below are some important reminders for this month.

Construction: We have now started construction on our new studio facility!! All students, parents and guardians – please be very careful when arriving to and leaving from lessons. No small children should be walking up/down the driveway without an adult present with them at all times. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the construction process.

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on Memorial Day Monday May 28th and Father’s Day Sunday June 17. Please contact me ASAP if you/your student will not be attending lessons on either day, the normal cancelation policy will still apply.

Beginning of Summer Semester: The beginning of the 2018 Summer Semester is Saturday May 26th. The Summer Semester runs through Sunday August 19th.

2018 Fall Semester: The 2018 Fall Semester begins Monday August 20th. Pre-registraiton for continuing current students will begin July 1st. Pre-registration for continuing students ends July 31st. Registration documents will be emailed July 1st, so please make a note of that date, especially if you’re taking the summer off!

May News

Hello everyone! We’re nearing the end of our 2018 Spring Semester here at NSMA, and while I’m looking forward to a lighter schedule during the summer months, it is always sad to see one year end and say goodbye! We’ve got a busy three weeks to finish out the semester, please note important dates listed below.

Construction: We have now started construction on our new studio facility!! All students, parents and guardians – please be very careful when arriving to and leaving from lessons. No small children should be walking up/down the driveway without an adult present with them at all times. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the construction process.

Piano Update: My piano was structurally compromised due to the cold, dry weather in February and I have had to send it up to Anchorage to be rebuilt. I have procured a high quality electric piano for us to use in the mean time. The piano will be rebuilt and kept in Anchorage until the new studio facility is done, at which point we will ship it back and move it into the new location.

Spring Recital: Our final recital this school year is our annual Spring Recital, which will be held Sunday 5/20 at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. All students performing should be now registered for the recital, the $10.00 recital participation fee will be added to your May invoice. Please contact me ASAP with any questions.

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on Saturday 5/5 (Cinco de Mayo). We also DO have lessons on Sunday 5/13 (Mother’s Day). PLEASE put this on your calendar as it is Sunday students’ final lesson before the recital and the final lesson of the semester!!

End of Spring Semester: The last day of lessons of the 2018 Spring Semester is Saturday May 19th. The final day of the semester is Sunday May 20th with our recital. There are no lessons Monday May 21 – Friday May 25.

Beginning of Summer Semester: The beginning of the 2018 Summer Semester is Saturday May 26th. The Summer Semester runs through Sunday August 19th.

April News

Hello everyone! We had a GREAT 1980’s recital last month, I’m so proud of everyone who performed and I had a blast listening to all of those fabulous 80’s songs! We’ve got another month and a half to go in the 2018 Spring Semester, and it’s jam-packed with important paperwork and one last recital of this school year. Below are the highlights for this month:

YES to Lessons: We DO have lessons on ALL one day holidays, including Easter Sunday 4/1 and Mother’s Day Sunday 5/13. Please let me know if you/your student will not be attending lessons on either of those days, the regular cancelation policy will still apply.

May Recital: Our final recital of the 2017/18 school year is our annual Spring Recital on Sunday 5/20 at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. Recital registration information will be handed out the first week of April. March News

Hello everyone! I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely looking forward to the start of spring coming to Juneau soon! We’ve got our first recital of 2018 slated for this month as well as the Juneau School District Spring Break the following week, so please read through these important updates for March.

March Recital: We have our next recital on Sunday March 11th at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. All students participating should already be registered to perform. There is a $10.00 per student performance fee, which has been already added to your March invoice. All students not performing are encouraged to come and watch (no fee for audience members!), please let me know if you have any questions!

Spring Break: Spring Break is Saturday March 17 – Sunday March 25. There will be optional lessons held Saturday March 17 – Monday March 19 for those students wishing to have lessons. There will be no lessons Tuesday March 20 – Sunday March 25. Lessons will resume as normal on Monday March 26. All students should have informed me of Spring Break plans by now, please let me know if you have any questions.
