Hello everyone! We had an exceptional Halloween Recital last week – I think it was the most well-prepared recital we’ve ever had! I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope everyone else did, too. We have a busy next month and a half as we go into the holiday season, here are some important updates and reminders!
Thanksgiving Week: We DO have lessons during the week of Thanksgiving!! Please mark that on your calendars. If you/your student will miss a lesson, the normal cancelation policy does still apply, so please let me know as soon as possible.
Winter Holiday Recital: Our fifth annual Winter Holiday Recital will be held on Sunday December 18th at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. There is a $10.00 per student fee to participate. This week I will be handing out registration letters (also available for download through the Current Students/Documents tabs) – please email me by Nov. 20th to register you/your student for the recital!
Winter Break: There will be no lessons held Thursday 12/22 through Sunday 1/8. Lessons will resume as normal Monday 1/9. I do often have shifting in my schedule between the fall and spring semesters, so if you are interested in making any changes to lessons, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can best accommodate any requests.
Fall Business Hours: Sat/Sun 12:00-7:00, Mon/Tue 1:00-7:00, Wed 3:00-7:00, closed Thur/Fri. Hours are posted on the front door, please do not come up to the house if it is not during the posted business hours.
Tuition Payment Reminder:Â Tuition Payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail or you can drop it off anytime in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox. Please do not come up to the house to drop off payment if it is not during your student's lesson time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great fall so far, I’m excited for the first recital of the school year, our Halloween Recital! I think it’s going to be a great recital, we’ve got some spooky songs as well as some fun ones – I’m sure the costumes will be fantastic as well. Below are a few reminders for this month.
Halloween Recital: Our Halloween Recital is Sunday 10/23 at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. All students participating should now be registered for the recital – please dress in costume to match your song, and if staying for the reception, please bring a plate of finger food to share. All are welcome and encouraged to come as audience members, and please contact me with any questions.
Halloween Day/Columbus Day: Halloween 10/31 and Columbus Day 10/10 both fall on a Monday this year! We DO have lessons as regularly scheduled on both of those days. If you/your student will not be attending lessons on either day, please let me know in advance, and the regular cancelation policy will still apply.

Piano Tuning: Cameron Cartland of Alaska Piano Services will be coming to Juneau October 17-21 to tune pianos. Pianos should be tuned once a year. If you are interested in getting your piano tuned, please contact Alaska Piano Services at www.alaskapiano.net for more information.

Hello everyone! It is so great to see everyone back for fall lessons, I’m really excited about this year! The first week of the fall semester I handed out the most current 2016/17 Studio Policies and a fall update letter, both have been added to the Current Students/Documents tab. Hello everyone! We are now winding down our Summer Semester here at NSMA and will begin our Fall Semester August 17th. I have enjoyed working with the summer students and look forward to seeing everyone back for the fall! When the Fall Semester begins, I will be sending home and emailing a Fall Newsletter – below are a few of the highlights from that letter.

Hello everyone! We’ve had a great start to our summer semester here at NSMA, I can’t believe we’re close to half-way through summer lessons already! Below are some reminders and updates for this month.
4th of July: We have NO LESSONS on Monday July 4th. Makeup lessons will be held for those who wish on Saturday July 2nd and there will be no charge for those students who do not wish to have a makeup lesson. Please contact me with any questions you might have.
Fall 2016 Registration: Fall 2016 Registration is now OPEN for continuing NSMA students. Registration is July 1st – July 31st. Please get your registration documents into me as soon as possible to make the scheduling as smooth as possible. Please note – continuing students are not guaranteed a spot in my roster if they do not register by the 31st!!
New Student Fall 2016 Registration: Registration will open to all new students August 1st. I am usually full by August 2nd or 3rd, so if you are interested in signing you/your student up for lessons, please contact me now to get your name on my wait list for any openings I have for the fall.
Summer Business Hours:Â Saturday 12:00-4:00pm, Sunday 12:00-7:00pm, Monday 1:00-7:00pm, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday CLOSED.
Group Vocal Lessons:Â I am offering group vocal lessons on Saturday afternoons every other week for this summer, high schoolers and adults only. If you are interested, please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information and for the class schedule.
