November News

Hello everyone! We are more than halfway through the 2022 Fall Semester here at NSMA and we’ve now had our first in-person recital since December 2019 – congratulations to all of the performers, you all did a wonderful job!! Below are some important reminders for the rest of the semester.

2022 Winter Holiday Recital: Our next recital will be held on Saturday December 17th at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. All students planning on doing the recital should be hard at work on their songs, students not performing are encouraged to come watch the recital! Please note: masks will be required for every person attending the recital, no exceptions.

Thanksgiving: We will not be having lessons on Thursday Nov. 24th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will have lessons the rest of that week as normal, please let me know of any travel plans as the normal cancelation will still apply for all other dates.

Winter Break – CHANGE OF DATES: There will be no lessons during Winter Break Friday Dec. 23 through Monday Jan. 9th (PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE!!). Lessons will resume as normal with the same schedule as in the fall on TUESDAY January 10th.

Online Lessons Reminder: I am continuing to phase out online lessons, so I am only offering online lessons for health related reasons (Covid, severe colds, flu, etc). Online lessons will not be given for any other reason, including forgetting music, scheduling errors, travel, etc.

MASKS: CBJ now has us in the low risk category, however – ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS AND INSTRUMENT, MUST WEAR A MASK DURING LESSONS. I will be staying on top of the city regulations and will keep everyone updated with any changes.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition payments are due at the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off physical payments with your student at lesson, send in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the studio entrance. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

New Students: We have a few openings left for the 2022 Fall Semester, particularly for home school and elementary aged students and retirees! Please contact us at or (907) 500-7455 for more information.
