May News

Hello everyone! We are now finishing up our spring semester and we are gearing up for our annual Spring Recitals! I am very excited for our spring recitals this year, all of the students have been working very hard on their songs for the past few months. Here are a few updates for NSMA:

Spring Recitals: The 2013 Spring Recitals will be held Sunday May 19th 3:00pm and 5:30pm. All students should now be signed up for a recital time, if you have not yet signed up for a recital time please contact me asap!! The recitals will be held at UAS in the Egan Lecture Hall with a reception following.

Summer Lessons: Registration for 2013 Summer Lessons is now open! Current students, please fill out your Summer/Fall lesson paperwork and hand in/email me as soon as possible! Summer lessons will be held June 1 – August 19 (please note: there will be no lessons held May 19-31).

Reminders: Please do not come up to the house if it is not during business hours. If you need to drop off a check, there is a secure drop box attached to the mailbox. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as this is not only my place of business, it is also my home.

If you are a potential new student and are interested in lessons, I do have openings available for summer lessons. Please fill out the online Registration Form or contact me for more information on NSMA and how get signed up for summer lessons or sign up on the wait list for fall lessons.

Music Around Town:

JDHS will be presenting the musical “Pippin” 5/3, 4, 10 and 11. NSMA students Aria Moore, Ashleigh Watt, Brita Fagerstrom, Marina McDowell, and Megan McAllister will be featured performers. Tickets are available at Hearthside Books, the JAHC, and at the door.

The Juneau Cabaret is accepting new performers for their next show June 23rd. Please visit their website for more information, http://juneaucabaret.wikispaces.com.

Perseverance Theatre’s new production “The Road Weeps, the Well Runs Dry” will be performing 5/3-26. More information on the show, performance days/times and ticket information  can be found on their website, http://www.perseverancetheatre.org.
