November News

Hello everyone! I am so proud of all of my students who performed in our Halloween Recitals on 10/26, everyone did a great job and I had a wonderful time performing with all of you! We are going straight into preparing for our next recital in December (see details below). We only have 7 more weeks until Winter Break, so let’s make them count!

Winter Holiday Recitals: Our Winter Holiday Recitals will be on Sunday 12/14 at 2:00pm and 4:30pm. We are in a new recital venue at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. I will be handing out the recital information sheet in lessons this week and I have also posted it under the Current Students/Documents tab online. Please make sure you read this thoroughly as it contains NEW information regarding our new recital space.

Thanksgiving Holiday: NSMA will be closed Wednesday 11/26 – Sunday 11/30 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please have this marked on your calendars! Lessons will resume as normal on Monday 12/1.

Winter Break: Looking ahead to December, Winter Break is Thursday 12/18 – Sunday 1/4. There will be NO LESSONS on these days. Lessons will resume as normal on Monday 1/5.

Noteworthy Accomplishments: NSMA students Ashlee Carella, Acacia Poulson-Edwards and Lydia Smith made the Alaska All-State Honor Choir, an audition-only choir made up of the best choral students around the state of Alaska.

New Students: If you are a potential new student and are interested in lessons, my schedule for the fall is currently full and I have a wait list started. Please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information on NSMA and how to sign up on the wait list for lessons.
