December News

Happy Holidays!! We are now finishing up our 2022 Fall Semester here at NSMA and we’ve got a busy three weeks ahead of us! Below are some very important reminders for this fall and looking ahead to Spring 2023.

2022 Winter Holiday Recital: Our next recital will be held on Saturday December 17th at 3:00pm at Aldersgate Church. All students planning on doing the recital should be hard at work on their songs, students not performing are encouraged to come watch the recital! Please note: masks will be required for every person attending the recital, no exceptions.

Winter Break – CHANGE OF DATES: There will be no lessons during Winter Break Friday Dec. 23 through Monday Jan. 9th (PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE!!). Lessons will resume as normal with the same schedule as in the fall on TUESDAY January 10th. The normal cancelation policy does apply to any canceled lessons outside of these dates.

Tuition Rate Change: I will be raising my rates from $29.00/30 minute lesson to $30.00/30 minute lesson (plus tax) starting January 2023. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Online Lessons Reminder: I am continuing to phase out online lessons, so I am only offering online lessons for health related reasons (Covid, severe colds, flu, etc). Online lessons will not be given for any other reason, including forgetting music, scheduling errors, travel, etc.

MASKS: CBJ has us in the low risk category, however – ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS AND INSTRUMENT, MUST WEAR A MASK DURING LESSONS. I will be staying on top of the city regulations and will keep everyone updated with any changes.

Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition payments are due at the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off physical payments with your student at lesson, send in the mail or you can drop it off any time in the secure white drop box attached to the studio entrance. Please do not come up to the studio to drop off payment if it is not your student’s lesson time, and please do not come up to the main house for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

New Students: We have a few openings that will be available for the 2023 Spring Semester starting January 10th, particularly for home school and elementary aged students and retirees! Please contact us at megan.e.felts@gmail.com or (907) 500-7455 for more information.
