Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! We’re now back from winter break and back to our regularly scheduled lessons.

Reminders: We DO have lessons on early release Mondays and all Monday holidays. Please let me know ahead of time if you need to cancel a lesson for any reason. I would appreciate a phone call/message if you are canceling on the day of the lesson. Thank you for your cooperation!!

Vocal Workshop: North Star Music Academy is putting together an afternoon vocal workshop for teens Sunday, February 6th from 3:00-6:00pm. We will be doing a short performance in which each student will be able to sing, having a discussion session about singing, and culminating in a pizza party! Cost is $15.00 to participate. Please email or call to learn more and to register for the workshop.

Music Around Town:

Juneau Lyric Opera’s annual MidWinter Vocal Festival will be having their performance at Chapel by the Lake on Saturday Jan. 8 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available through their website and at the show.

The Juneau Symphony will be performing Holst’s “The Planets” Saturday Jan. 29 and Sunday Jan. 30. Tickets can be purchased through their website, at Hearthside Books, and at the door.

Juneau Jazz & Classics will be having their Winter Cabaret Workshop with Barney McClure Jan. 16-20 and their culminating performance Jan. 21. More information on registration for the workshop and tickets for the performance can be found on their website.

Perseverance Theatre will be performing “The Blue Bear” Jan. 16-Feb.6. More information and tickets are available on their website.
