Hello everyone – it is so nice to be back to work at NSMA and to see all of you after being on my maternity leave! And what a beautiful week we’ve had this week, maybe spring will come early this year…one can hope, anyway! Here are a few updates from NSMA:
Spring Break: Public school Spring Break is March 15-23. NSMA will be open and holding lessons Sat. March 15, Tue. March 18 and Sat. March 22 only to accommodate a lighter than normal schedule. If you haven’t contacted me regarding Spring Break lessons yet, please do so ASAP!!
Spring Recital: Our fourth annual Spring Recital will be held Sunday May 18th at 2:00pm and 4:30pm. Please mark that on your calendar! Recital handouts will be given out in April and at that time registration for recital times will be open on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Summer Lessons: It’s not too early to be thinking about summer lessons! Summer lesson handouts and registration documents will be given out in April as well, so please start thinking about whether you/your student would be interested in summer lessons.
Reminder:Â We have lessons on ALL Monday holidays!
Tuition Payment Reminder: Tuition Payments are due the first lesson of every month with a grace period until the 10th of the month. If tuition is received after the 10th of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be assessed. Please drop off your payment with your student at lesson, send the payment in the mail or you can drop it off anytime in the secure white drop box attached to the mailbox. Please do not come up to the house to drop off payment if it is not during your student’s lesson time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
New Students:Â If you are a potential new student and are interested in lessons, my schedule for is currently full and I have a wait list started. Please contact me at megan.e.felts@gmail.com for more information on NSMA and how to sign up on the wait list for lessons.
Music Around Town:
Perseverance Theatre is performing “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” March 7-30, Â former NSMA student Ricci Adan will be a featured performer! More information and tickets are available at www.perseverancetheatre.org.
The Juneau Symphony will be performing their Symphony Showcase March 15 & 16, more information and tickets are available at www.juneausymphony.org.
The Juneau Lyric Opera’s 7th annual Spring Gala will be Saturday March 22nd. This fundraising event is catered by Abby’s Kitchen and features musical performances of local JLO artists. Tickets and more information available on their website, www.juneauopera.org.
The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council has a running list of community activities available online at www.jahc.org.
